Profile and firm settings
Profile settings describe the signed-in person. Firm settings describe the current firm. They are separate records and use different permission rules.
Status: Profile and firm settings are implemented. Firm-level changes are owner-restricted by the API.
Personal profile
Members can update profile details such as their display name and photo. The UI sends those changes through the account API. Profile data follows the user across firm contexts; it is not the same as a firm membership or role.
Firm settings
Firm settings cover the firm’s name and branding details, including its logo. Firm-level changes are owner-restricted in the API. The UI can present settings controls, but the API remains responsible for enforcing the role.
