# Feature availability

> A guide to unfinished product surfaces and deployment-dependent capabilities.

This page names product areas that are visibly present but do not yet provide the capability their label may suggest. Working features keep their own status and requirements on their feature page, so this is not a second feature inventory.

## Visible placeholders and partial surfaces

## Deployment-dependent capabilities

* [File AI and chat](/file-ai-and-chat): chat needs a configured model provider; background file processing also needs AI and task-runner configuration.
* [Notify and reminders](/notify-and-reminders): due-time delivery needs an external job that calls the reminder dispatch endpoint.
* [Files and uploads](/files-and-uploads): upload and signed reads need the deployment's Google Cloud Storage configuration.

The source repositories establish the application code and defaults, not a deployment's active credentials, provider setup, or job schedule. Confirm those in the target environment before describing a capability as enabled.
