# Client workspace

> Find a firm client and open the workspace associated with that client.

The firm landing page provides an API-backed client directory. Selecting a client opens a firm-scoped workspace that can display that client's uploaded files and related workspace details.

**Status:** Partial. The client directory and workspace are implemented; folder navigation and client creation are not.

## Find a client

The directory supports searching and sorting client entries. Each entry belongs to the current firm context. The client route combines the firm slug and client slug, while the API resolves the corresponding firm and member before returning workspace data.

## Work with client files

The client workspace retrieves file metadata and presents file actions through the shared upload integration. File bytes are stored separately in Google Cloud Storage. ## Current limits

Client workspaces are not a folder hierarchy. Folder navigation is not implemented, and the visible “New Client” action does not create a client record; it routes to the Teams area. Use the existing membership and client directory workflows rather than treating those controls as client creation.
