# Update Member Priority

Update a member's priority.

**Allowed roles**:
- `owner`, `ca_staff`

 Note: clients do not have permission to update priority, but they can be
 included in the list of clients returned by the GET /clients endpoint, which
 is sorted by priority. This allows staff to set client priority without
 granting them broader permissions to update member roles.

 **Use case**: a CA staff member wants to prioritize support for certain
 clients. By setting a client's priority to "high", that client will appear
 at the top of the client list for all staff members, making it easier to
 identify which clients need urgent attention.

 **Allowed values**:
 - `LOW`
 - `NORMAL`
 - `HIGHT`
 - `CRITICAL`

 **Default value**:
 - `NORMAL`

 **Behavior**:
 - If priority is not specified in the update request, it remains unchanged.
 - Priority does not affect permissions; it's purely an organizational tool.
 - Changing a member's priority does not affect their role or access rights.
